About Rotary Drilling Rig
Rotary drilling equipment is the process of expelling the formation pieces, which are formed as a result of breaking the formation by the cutting teeth of a rotating drill under load, with a circulation fluid (drilling mud).
Rotary drilling consists of five main components:
- Rotation system
- Crane system
- Powertrain system
- The circulatory system
- Drilling system (drill sequence)
Drilling system ; consists of water head, kelly, sleeve, rod, weight pipe and drill.
About PDC Diamond Drills
Acronym for Polycrystalline diamond compact. The cutting elements of PDC drills contain artificial or natural diamonds. Unlike roller cone drills, these drills do not have any moving parts. The formation of PDC drills is based on the shearing effect of the shearing mechanism.
About Tricone (Roller Cone) Drills
It is the most commonly used drill type. In general, it consists of three conical elements placed in the drill body, rotating with the array and carrying the cutting teeth on it.
